Trilogy Property and WiredScore, say that building R1 at Republic has been certified as one of the UK’s top buildings for connectivity and telecommunications infrastructure.

The Wired Certified Platinum rating establishes the newly-launched creative office campus among a select few to have achieved the accolade worldwide. Republic’s R1 becomes part of a group of buildings which includes the Empire State Building and Google’s offices in New York City. It is London’s easternmost Wired Certified Platinum building.
Republic, which is being developed by Trilogy Property and LaSalle Investment Management, aims to provide affordable office space to creative, cultural and tech businesses priced out of traditional locations, with rents at half the price of the West End and a third of those in Shoreditch. Refurbishment of R1 is underway, and will provide 225,000 sq ft of modern office space designed by award-winning architects Studio RHE. The design employs cross-laminated timber to clad meeting rooms which cantilever into nine-storey atria. A rebranding exercise is underway, with a distinctive ‘building wrap’ from designer Tom Hingston signalling the developments.
