ABB has launched ABB Ability BuildingPro Suites, a modular, software platform designed to help building owners, operators and system integrators turn building data into measurable performance outcomes.

ABB Ability BuildingPro Suites acts as a unified building intelligence layer, connecting building automation, HVAC, energy, IT and IoT systems in a single open and cybersecure environment. By collecting and contextualizing real-time data across systems, the platform enables advanced analytics, automation and portfolio-level optimization to improve operational performance, energy efficiency, occupant comfort and sustainability results.

Real estate owners and operators are increasingly under pressure to demonstrate measurable outcomes across efficiency, comfort and compliance, while managing more complex building portfolios. At the same time, regulatory frameworks such as CSRD and EPBD are accelerating demand for reliable data, transparent reporting and continuous performance improvement.

BuildingPro Suites is designed to support these needs with a scalable digital framework that integrates ABB and third-party devices and systems, delivering a consistent software experience across sites, regions and building types.

The platform is built on an open, semantic data model and is AI-ready by design, enabling structured, contextualized building data to support predictive tools and advanced optimization use cases. It can be deployed on-premises at the edge or in the cloud, depending on customer data policies and operational preferences.

The software portfolio is organized into six domain-focused suites covering areas such as energy, operations, comfort, asset health, space and grid interaction. Each suite is made up of modular software components designed around validated user needs and practical job stories. This modular structure allows customers to begin with targeted applications and expand over time without redesigning their system architecture.

“Buildings are becoming more connected and data-rich, but many owners and operators still struggle to turn that data into consistent, portfolio-wide performance,” said Lucy Han, business line leader, building automation, ABB Smart Buildings. “ABB Ability™ BuildingPro Suites gives customers a unified, modular software foundation that brings together data from across building systems and turns it into practical insights and actions – helping them improve efficiency, resilience and sustainability at scale.”

By combining real-time monitoring, analytics and automation, the platform supports reduced energy use, lower operating costs, improved space utilization, stronger asset visibility, and predictive maintenance. It also supports ESG performance tracking and sustainability reporting across building portfolios.

BuildingPro Suites supports both system integrators and end users through a dual go-to-market model. Integrators can deploy the platform as a scalable digital foundation, while energy managers, facility managers, real estate managers, and sustainability leaders can adopt modular capabilities aligned with their operational priorities. The platform connects with the BuildingPro ecosystem of certified hardware and partner devices.
