Smart Buildings Show is pleased to announce its first Platinum sponsor for the 2018 event; Bluetooth SIG.
Ken Kolderup, Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) vice president of marketing, told Smart Buildings Magazine and Show, “With the addition of mesh networking capability, Bluetooth technology is now set to make scalable building automation a reality in commercial and industrial environments.
With the rapid growth of the Smart Building industry, events like the Smart Buildings Show provide a valuable platform to discuss how Bluetooth based building automation and location service solutions can lower building operations costs, increase worker productivity, and enhance the visitor experience.”
Bluetooth SIG will be the sponsor of the Connected - Controls Theatre. This theatre will look at the physical devices in smart buildings including building controls, energy efficiency, BEMS, networks, connectivity, sensors, shading and lighting. The other main theatre at the highly successful event is the Connected - Management Theatre. This theatre will look at how a smart building is managed, including FM, software, security, sector analysis, integration, data analysis and services.
John Hatcher, conference director of Smart Buildings Show, said, “It’s great news that we have an organisation like Bluetooth SIG supporting the event. This shows the growth of the smart buildings industry and we are looking forward to seeing how Bluetooth is changing our built environment.”
Smart Buildings Show is already 40% larger than last year’s event with 64% of the stands sold. The show, which is taking place on the 7-8 November at The Barbican London, is the leading UK event for smart commercial buildings.
