The call for papers for this year’s Smart Buildings Show is now open. The 2019 event has crossed London to Olympia and promises to be bigger and better than ever.

This year we will have four theatres;

Connected - Management
This theatre will look at how a smart building is managed, including FM, software, security, sector analysis and market information, integration, data analysis and services.

Connected - Controls
This theatre will look at the physical devices in smart buildings including building controls, energy efficiency, BEMS, networks, connectivity, sensors, shading and lighting.

Connected - Spaces - sponsored by Schneider
This theatre will focus on workspaces, smart cities and wellbeing. Commercial buildings owners and operators are being asked to make their buildings flexible, healthy and productive for their employees. The spaces theatre will look at the management of commercial buildings and how the work environment can affect performance. We will also look at how external forces such as parking and transport infrastructure will affect the built environment.

Training
This will run a number of CPD accredited presentations. All submissions for this theatre must be CPD accredited and no longer than an hour.

If you would like to be part of the speaker programme, please send in the following information by Friday 31st May and we will then let you know if you have made the initial selection in the following weeks. Any papers not initially selected will be put on a reserve list. Could you also please indicate which theatre you would like your presentation to be considered for.

Initially we require:

  1. Presentation title
  2. Brief synopsis
  3. Presentation length, (max total length including Q&A 40 minutes)
  4. Who should attend this session?
  5. What will delegates learn from this session?
  6. Why is this issue of interest to delegates?
  7. Proposed speaker biography
  8. Which theatre the presentation should appear in
  9. Has this presentation been given before in the UK? If so, at which events?

For the best chance of being selected we prefer submissions that show best practice, involve the client, partnerships, market information and outlook, plus the latest innovations. We avoid product pitches and ask to see all presentations before the event.
