CBRE Group has bought Environmental Systems, a systems integrator and provider of energy management services, as part of its push to expand its facilities management services.
CBRE didn’t disclose terms of the deal, which comes just just a few weeks after its $1.475 billion deal to buy Global WorkPlace Solutions, a provider of facilities and energy management services, from Johnson Controls Inc.
“ESI complements our existing suite of facilities-related outsourcing services,” said Bill Concannon, chief executive of Global Corporate Services at CBRE. “Our clients increasingly look to us to leverage new and existing controls — and the data that can be extracted from systems — and remote monitoring to drive greater energy efficiency. This is a core strategy and growing capability for CBRE.”
