Craig Sherrington has been appointed Technical Support Engineer for the UK and Ireland at Distech Controls, the organization connecting people with intelligent building solution. Craig is joining the team to provide Distech Controls’ customers with technical, product and training support across the country and in Ireland.

Craig began his career as an installation electrician and has always had a passion for engineering and how things work. His roles have included Regional Manager for a multinational business as well as running his own company, but his passion for building controls was ignited when he first started working with a BMS in the early 90’s.

“I love technology and enjoy constantly learning the latest and greatest solutions so that I can help client’s develop new ways of monitoring, managing and controlling their systems to reduce energy usage and drive towards Net Zero,” explains Craig. “I am blessed to work in an Industry that I love, and I have been able to work on some fantastic projects with fabulous clients.

Craig continues: “I have admired Distech Controls for many years, so when I heard that they had a vacancy for a Technical Support Engineer I was extremely excited to learn more. The company has experienced fantastic growth in the UK and Ireland over recent years and have great plans to continue to grow in the coming years.

The products and engineering tools are phenomenal, the recent release of the ECLYPSE APEX Controller, for instance, is market leading and something I wanted to be involved with. So, the opportunity to join Distech Controls and help support our customer network with fantastic solutions was something that really appealed to me and I was fortunate enough to be offered the position.”
