Distech Controls has launched DCTV, a monthly series of online discussions for the smart buildings industry. The DCTV series will feature a panel of intelligent buildings experts that meet once a month for the next five months for a 45 min-long session to tackle key industry issues while allowing audiences to learn more about current hot topics, interact with the panel and keep up with Distech Controls’ latest advancements and news.

The first DCTV session will take place on March 9 at 1PM GMT and experts will share what they have learned from recent trends in smart building deployment and discuss the benefits of an open platform for smart building applications. DCTV will allow its audience to pick and choose which virtual sessions they would like to attend to learn more about Distech Controls' offerings and solutions. DCTV panellists will include representatives from system integration firms, digital experts, and journalists.

The agenda for the DCTV Session #1 on March 9 is as follows:

  • 1–1:45PM: The benefit of open connectivity: Why an open platform is the key aspect for smart buildings
  • 3–3:45PM: Symbioz: A network of experts for intelligent buildings – a case study testimonial

“DCTV is an exciting new initiative that will provide key insights to help the smart buildings industry better understand current and future trends during these challenging times,” says Simon Ward, director of sales for UK and Ireland, Distech Controls. “Whilst we would prefer to meet in person with the Distech Controls community, we recognise that this is just not possible at present. DCTV will give us a great platform to reach out to the industry, share useful content and stimulate conversation. The interactive element of these sessions will allow interested parties to engage with our experts, raise questions, and explore solutions to the challenges that the building controls sector faces today and in the future.”

Session #2 will be held on April 13, and this technical session will take a deeper dive approach on implementation of smart solutions and best practices for controlled data usage.

Additional live sessions are scheduled for May 11, June 8 and July 6 on additional topics affecting the industry. Can’t make the live event? A replay will be for all sessions and made available to registered attendees.
