Distech Controls is increasing the capabilities of its ECLYPSE Connected Thermostat with a new scheduler that offers increased occupancy comfort, greater convenience, and further control over energy consumption.
The ECLYPSE Connected Thermostat delivers a best-in-class occupant experience featuring a touchscreen interface, multiple connectivity options including wired IP and Wi-Fi for system communication, and Bluetooth low energy (BLE) for mobile connectivity. It is ideal for a variety of applications including commercial office, retail, hospitality, education, and mixed-use buildings.
A unique user experience with a single intuitive interface to adjust and optimise the temperature, fan speed, HVAC mode, and lighting/sunblind position via BACnet – all from a single device.
The embedded Restful API and Cloud Connectivity of ECLYPSE allows for a more integrated solution in various building types and multi-site applications. It also allows for the integration of third-party apps providing users with the ability to create a tailored and branded mobile app to answer the specific needs of the building and its occupants. The thermostat is also compatible with Distech Controls' free my PERSONIFY mobile app, which provides flexibility and functionality via its modern user interface. The app utilises Bluetooth technology, making it just as easy to connect and operate as any household consumer Bluetooth device.
The new ECLYPSE Connected Thermostat scheduler feature is highly flexible and adds a new level of convenience to better cater to users in various types of buildings. The new scheduler supports various types of schedules, in both stand-alone and networked modes, providing a customized interface for the users in the building. By using the updated scheduler, building owners can take a simplified control of the spaces in buildings and benefit from reduced energy usage and costs.
“At Distech Controls we continuously innovate so we can offer the best solutions for the project or building, and we are delighted to introduce added features to the popular ECLYPSE Connected Thermostat,” comments Kevin Ridder, product manager at Distech Controls. “Occupant comfort and wellbeing as well as reducing energy consumption and costs are important issues for our customers and, with the capabilities of the new scheduler, they can offer a solution that delivers on both fronts.”
