Eclipse Power Group is celebrating a landmark year of growth and transformation. From acquiring Vattenfall Networks to delivering its first microgrid and private network, Eclipse is setting new standards for speed, flexibility and sustainability in energy connections.
As Eclipse marks its 10-year anniversary, it continues to lead the way for clients seeking resilient, cost-effective alternatives to traditional power connections. Building on a decade of proven delivery in power infrastructure, Eclipse has enjoyed many successes during 2025, with highlights for this year alone including:
- Acquired fellow IDNO Vattenfall Networks to enhance expertise and accelerate UK power connections.
- Completed Carpenters Yard, a microgrid linking 113 energy-efficient homes with their community-owned battery, giving homeowners zero energy bills for five years.
- Co-developed Future Point Manchester, a pioneering energy park designed to power one of Europe’s largest data centres with clean energy.
- Providing hyperscale-ready power connections to data centre customers, such as the Colt Data Centre Services campus at Hayes.
- Offering flexible, cost-effective power solutions to EV charging infrastructure providers, enabling projects including Instavolt’s Three Maids Hill superhub near Winchester.
In addition, Emma Ford is expected to join the business as CEO in early 2026, taking the reins from Spencer Thompson – who has led Eclipse through sustained business growth into a customer-focused, dependable industry partner.
“Our achievements this year and over the last decade show we’re not just reacting to change – we’re helping lead it,” said Eclipse CEO Spencer Thompson. “We’re pushing for the solutions infrastructure providers need to get their projects connected. The appointment of Emma Ford is the epitome of this forward-thinking approach – I can’t imagine anyone better I could handover to.”
