In response to the growing convergence of IoT, data management and building control systems technologies, J2 Innovations has announced that the first Haystack Connect Conference in Europe will be held at the British Library on Wednesday 26th September at the British Library, London. This free to attend event is ideally suited to building services consultants, systems integrators, control system manufacturers and end-users, seeking to understand this rapid evolution taking place in building management and its impact upon control system design, specification, integration and deployment.
“As the IoT develops apace, data management is becoming more and more central to those responsible for the efficient and productive operation of building portfolios,” says Chris Irwin, executive envoy Europe for Project Haystack and VP sales EMEA & Asia at J2 Innovations. “There is so much data available from today's building systems and related applications that the organisation of such data is of critical importance. Project Haystack is the most widely used open standard that seeks to address this issue. Following the success of the recent Haystack Connect conference in San Diego, Haystack Connect London will provide valuable insights for European audiences into the vital importance of semantic tagging and data modelling for the management of buildings.”
This one-day event will bring together people who are already actively involved in Project Haystack with others who want to learn more about Haystack and its implications for system and application specifications. It will feature a series of educational talks from industry experts covering the basics of semantic tagging and data modelling, as well as providing details on the new Haystack 4 standard, which is currently out for public review. Organised by J2 Innovations on behalf of the Project Haystack community, the event will also give opportunities for informal discussion, debate and networking.
