The EnOcean Alliance and Vertuoz by ENGIE have joined forces to develop intelligent building solutions and build bridges towards a global network in the Internet of Things.
Through the partnership, the ecosystem of the EnOcean Alliance continues to grow and promotes the standardization of intelligent building solutions for the Internet of Things. Vertuoz by ENGIE is now a key player in the EnOcean Alliance, actively supporting the further development of EnOcean energy harvesting wireless standard for energy-efficient building solutions.
Vertuoz by ENGIE is a smart building operator and relies on its Vertuoz platform - which has become a multi-service, multi-site, multi-date sources monitoring and control platform – that makes it possible to utilize all the building's data to make it smarter, more efficient and therefore more comfortable for its occupants.
Vertuoz has recently adopted EnOcean technology and is in the process of renovating 140 schools in Paris, which will save up to 30% energy through renovation of buildings and boiler rooms, installation of a remote smart energy performance monitoring and control system using temperature sensors, CO2 sensors, occupancy sensors, switches and valves which are all based on EnOcean wireless and batteryless standard, 15.000 connected objects. A total of 42 schools have already been renovated and the work will continue during the school holidays in 2017 and 2018.
Graham Martin, chairman of the EnOcean Alliance, comments: “We are very excited to welcome an industry leader such as Vertuoz by ENGIE as a new promoter member in the EnOcean Alliance. Vertuoz by ENGIE´s commitment to monitoring and analysing building energy consumption, helping to create greater awareness of environmental issues and energy costs reinforces the goals of the EnOcean Alliance.”
