With Solexa Home, Elsner Elektronik is launching a new generation of shading control designed as a fully local wireless complete system. The weather station, control panel and base station form the basic set and can be individually supplemented with wireless modules. The solution is aimed at both retrofit projects and smaller automation solutions in residential and commercial properties.

The focus is on quick commissioning and customisation, enabling Solexa Home to make key functions for comfort and energy efficiency easily accessible. All sensors are included in the set. The system continuously monitors brightness, wind speed, precipitation and temperature. GPS data forms the basis for time controls and the precise calculation of the sun’s position. On this basis, Solexa Home automatically controls shading elements such as awnings, blinds and roller shutters, as well as ventilation via windows, heating units and lights, depending on the situation.

Control is demand-oriented: sun protection is only activated when there is actual sunlight, whilst wind, rain or frost conditions are automatically taken into account. This ensures the indoor climate is optimally maintained whilst protecting the system.

In addition to shading, the system integrates windows, lighting, and heating units. Using practical wireless plug modules, it can be expanded to control up to 16 drives and loads. The control logic factors in individually definable thresholds for temperature and brightness, as well as customisable time functions. This offers a simple, wireless approach to managing indoor climate and energy efficiency.
