On Tuesday 18th April, CEDIA will kickstart its UK Tech Summit tour at the Business Design Centre in London. This free-to-attend event will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn valuable insights from industry leaders, get face time with manufacturers and distributors, and experience innovative new technologies.

The London Tech Summit is set to be the largest event of its type in the UK, with over 50 sponsors displaying their products, 17 of which are new for 2023, and a packed agenda, including three 45-minute presentations. While Blustream will provide an insight into Video over IP vs HDBaseT technology for multiroom applications, Snap One will look at how smart technology can drive healthy and green living, and GUDE Systems will provide an update on the future of power monitoring and management.

During the day, there will be a number of opportunities for visitors to spend time walking the halls, meeting with the sponsors and seeing what products and solutions they have to offer. As part of its NextGen initiative, CEDIA will be inviting students from technical colleges to the event so that they can learn about the career opportunities in the industry, meet integrators, brands, and suppliers, and get hands on with some of the latest products. Founding CEDIA member, Ideaworks,will also be taking this group on a showroom tour to provide them with the opportunity to see products in practice.

Following a day of education and valuable one-to-one time with the manufacturers and distributors, Alex Buchan, a Strategic Technologist from the Digital TV Group (DTG) will host a keynote on Key Trends in Consumer Entertainment. The presentation will highlight the future direction of the media industry from equipment trends to the consumer experience. It will provide an insight into consumer attitudes to the latest features such as UHD, next generation audio, interactive and immersive content and how those interplays with increasing awareness of topics such as cyber security and sustainability.

At the end of the event, a networking drinks reception will be hosted by Silent Gliss in its showroom within the Business Design Centre, providing the perfect opportunity to carry on the conversations that were had during the day.
