A recent modernization project in a 50-year-old residential building in Prague highlights how 2N’s cutting-edge technologies are revolutionizing the way older properties are upgraded. The global IP access control leader has managed to deliver a reliable solution without the need for rewiring or disruptive construction work.
Older buildings in Prague often rely on outdated analogue systems that require expensive and disruptive rewiring to upgrade. The 2N Clip 2wire-IP, however, enables property owners to bring their systems into the IP age using the existing two-wire infrastructure.
“This retrofit solution is a game-changer for property owners,” said Michal Kratochvíl, CEO of 2N. “Our 2N Clip 2wire-IP allows buildings to modernize their access systems quickly and efficiently, without tearing down walls or replacing cables.”
In the Prague project, the old analogue system was replaced with the 2N IP Style intercom, which enables video calls, mobile access, and remote management. My2N mobile app was introduced for flexible communication, allowing residents to interact with visitors remotely.
“The ease of installation was a key factor, combining the existing wiring and installed the new devices,” Kratochvíl continued. “The result is a seamless integration into the 2N ecosystem, enhancing convenience for both residents and property managers.”
IP technology is more reliable and stable than analogue systems, delivering clear video and dependable performance. Property managers benefit from remote management, reducing travel and service costs by handling 90% of requests off-site.
“The 2N solution is designed for the long term,” Kratochvíl explained. “We’ve built this with durability in mind, offering a five-year warranty to ensure peace of mind for property owners.”
