Smart Buildings Show is now open for registration.

The free-to-attend conference and exhibition, which takes place at the Barbican, London on the 7th and 8th of November, 2018, features keynote and CPD-accredited training sessions from some of the biggest names in the smart buildings industry.

Claire Hatchett, sales manager, of the UK’s only dedicated commercial Smart Buildings Show, commented, “We have already doubled the size of last year’s event and have signed up a number of major sponsors.” This year’s sponsors are Bluetooth SIG, Engie and Honeywell. In addition, a number of professional organisations are supporting the show including BSRIA, KNX UK and the BCIA.

John Hatcher, conference director, said, “We have a great line-up of speakers who will be able to inform delegates of the state of the market, whilst delivering real life examples of how smart buildings can save money and improve the user experience. We also have a training theatre, which will provide CPD accredited courses from organisations such as KNX UK and the BCIA.” Smart buildings look beyond the building equipment within their four walls. They are connected, responsive and interact with building operators and occupants to give them new levels of visibility and actionable information. They deliver services that make occupants productive at the lowest cost and environmental impact over the building lifecycle.

To do this requires adding intelligence from the design phase through to the end of the building's useful life. Smart buildings use information technology during operation to connect subsystems, which typically operate independently, enabling these systems to share information that optimizes total building performance.

Smart Buildings Show 2018 will cover all key aspects of creating and managing a smart building, including;

  • Building automation systems and design
  • Building energy management and energy efficiency
  • Building services and support
  • HVAC
  • Lighting and controls
  • Networks and wireless
  • Regulations and consultancy
  • Security
  • Smart meters and monitoring
  • Software
