Sontay has been working hard to find ways to bring its training to its customers whilst they are unable to visit the company’s training facility in Edenbridge, Kent. The company says it has now re-instated its Sontay Academy training courses via webinars; including the Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA) BCM00-BCM06 courses.

The BCIA offers seven levels of training (BCM00-BCM06) starting with an introduction to building controls and going right through to the control of ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technology. The courses will be hosted in a very similar format to the typical training room courses.

Sontay has also launched a new online CPD entitled ‘Sensing Technology in Building Services’ which covers a history of sensing technology, the role of sensors in a modern BMS, the importance of high quality sensors, energy saving technology, common sensor types and digital technologies. This course is free of charge to all who wish to participate.

The company is also providing special discounts on its e-Learning courses. Sontay is offering 50% discount on its courses, usually priced at £120, when booking 10 or more.

Stacey Lucas, commercial & marketing director of Sontay comments, “We are in unprecedented times and it is now more important than ever to support our industry and those that are working within it. With many people working from home there is an opportunity to take advantage of the training on offer, which is why we have worked hard to turn a number of our Sontay Academy courses into online webinars. We hope our customers and others will be able to continue learning and be in the best position they can be when we start to get back to normal – whatever normal will be.”
