Siemens Smart Infrastructure’s RDG200 thermostat series now offers a model that is natively equipped with a CO2 sensor and control functions. They allow the indoor air quality to be monitored and adjusted to ensure a healthy and productive indoor air climate at all times for people in the building, while maintaining efficient operation. When the air quality deteriorates because the CO2 concentration rises, the ventilation system is automatically adjusted and ensures that the right amount of fresh air is provided to the space.

The system thermostat can be natively integrated into Synco and Desigo systems from Siemens or into third-party systems thanks to its open KNX communication capability. With its new CO2 features, RDG200 not only ensures adequate ventilation when space occupancy is high, but also ramps ventilation down when CO2 concentration is low, thereby supporting energy-saving strategies in the room. A wide range of preloaded applications provides a multitude of options for sustainable room automation. The on-screen display informs the building user on the current CO2 status of the room. The one-touch “Green Leaf” function increases user awareness and promotes action to operate the space in the most energy efficient manner.
