Tridium has announced enhancements to its Niagara ecosystem, delivering critical new cloud capabilities that improve remote building connectivity, modernize the user experience and support long-term success.

“We are focused on modernizing our platform with new capabilities that immediately add value and enhance the user experience, all while future-proofing our platform and minimizing disruption,” said Andrew D’Amelio, vice president and general manager for Tridium. “We believe we have the right team, right technology and right business model to continue to support our evolving Niagara community.”

The immediate upgrades to the platform announced include:

  • Integration of New Cloud Capabilities: The new Niagara Cloud Suite makes operational workflows, such as troubleshooting, remote engineering, software updates and backup/restore, dramatically simpler and more scalable. It can transform service capabilities by eliminating dependencies on remote access solutions and other tools, providing a simplified and lasting experience for building management and operations and supporting hybrid cloud/on-premises network architectures.
  • Launch of Niagara Remote: One of the new cloud features launched within the Niagara Cloud Suite is Niagara Remote, a new capability that enables browser-based connection to a Niagara host station from anywhere without the need of any additional hardware or VPNs.
  • Unified User Experience Across Niagara Framework Ecosystem: New changes in the user interface for Niagara Cloud and the upcoming Niagara 5 aim to improve the user experience by reducing complexity, shortening training time and aligning with modern design principles and experiences.

New FoxC Product Capability: At the 2026 Niagara Summit beginning April 7, beta testing will officially launch for FoxC, a technology that enables secure, cloud-mediated machine-to-machine connectivity. It will enable one system to initiate outbound connections to another without inbound firewall openings, VPNs, or static Ips.
