Vanti says it has become the first Master Systems Integrator in the world to become a certified B-Corporation, joining businesses globally to tackle some of society's biggest challenges.
Vanti has joined the purpose-led network which aims to transform the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet.
To achieve certification, Vanti has taken part in a rigorous assessment process where it has had to demonstrate high social and environmental performance, make a legal commitment by changing its corporate governance structure to be accountable to all stakeholders, and make its performance transparent by publicly sharing data about its work.
Gaining B-Corp certification comes after a sustained period of growth for Vanti, which has seen the business more than double the size of its team to almost 50 since the beginning of 2019. It also has ambitious growth plans in place with an open investment round and is looking to recruit further members of staff and move to a larger HQ later this year.
Vanti also becomes one of only 19 B-Corps currently operating from within the city.
CEO of Vanti, Mike Brooman, said: "At Vanti we know the impact our work has on people and the environment and one of our key goals as a business is to not only improve the experiences people have in the built environment but also encourage best practice within the construction and property industries, setting an example for others to follow.
"Gaining this certification shows our commitment to providing the best service to our clients and the best place to work for our team. As we continue to grow and take on new challenges it's important to us that we are open and transparent about who we are as a business and the actions we are taking to continuously improve.
"We're hugely excited about the future and our plans to continue to expand mean there will be opportunities for like-minded people to join our journey. We're proud to have been accepted into the B-Corp community and hope we can inspire other Birmingham businesses to take the same step."
